Cowards behind Aliases

I was watching some Michael Moore speeches on youtube recently and reading through some of the comments. Some of them were really vicious and hateful. I see this a lot on the internet in general - hate filled comments and tweets made by people hiding behind their internet Alias.

Someone who is brave enough to express their views publicly without hiding behind a mask of any kind, should be respected at least for that. It makes me realize what cowards some people are who abuse by from behind a mask - thats not decent or civil thats more like verbal terrorism.

I admire anyone who has the courage to express their opinions publicly, especially if those opinions are contrary to popular opinion.

There is a big difference between what we think privately and what we actually say out loud - in a liberal democracy we must take responsibility for everything we say and do. The internet is doing a great job of allowing people be preach hate without them being responsible and accountable for their behaviour. Free speech is our civil right, but so we must behave in a civil way when we use it.

Imagine how you would be treated by passers by, if you 'road raged' [screamed abuse at] someone while your car number plate was covered and you wore a hooded mask to hide your identity. That isn't really any different from people on youtube using an alias to hide behind while they behave like uncivilised vandals.

Speed Learning Guitar

Practising the guitar is all about getting better at it. Repetition is necessary but repeat too much and progress can stop, as I found out. ...
